Trevor was born in Cornwall and studied fine art/printmaking at Falmouth and Winchester School of Art. He was elected an associate member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers, at the age of 28. He now divides his time between London and Cornwall. He was drawn to printmaking by the fine craftsmanship involved and sculptural qualities that cannot be achieved by painting or drawing alone. The 'Patchwork' of many of his more popular prints emulates the environment where he grew up and which he loves. Another recurring theme in his work is the sea. Although there has been quite a change in his work over the past few years, it is the humour that remains a serious element of the art. With his most recent work, we find etched and drypoint images on a raised gesso surface as well as monoprints and collages. He exhibits widely in the UK and has appeared in several publications and taken on a number of commissions.
