Robin was born in Meriden, Warks., 18 Mar 1944. Studied at Coventry College of Art (1960-65); Post Graduate study at Liverpool College of Art (1965-66).

Solo shows include: Conningsby Gallery, Workhouse Gallery and Gallery 27, London. Group shows include: RA; Mall Galleries; South London Art Gallery; Camden Art Centre; RWS Galleries; Chelsea Arts Club Gallery; RAC Gallery Pall Mall; The Little Gallery, London. Works in collections: private and public collections in Britain, France, Spain, Ireland, USA, Hong Kong and Australia. Publications: ‘Introduction to Drawing’ (Arcturus, 2004); Worked reproduced: numerous magazines relating to watercolour painting. Recreations: reading, walking, and work with London charities.
