Peter attended Guildford Art School and then went on to study Fine art at Chelsea. He spent several years working in advertising in London but his love of sailing and Cornwall made him decide to move to St Ives. He qualified as a Yacht Master and has sailed many times across the channel; he also took part in the AZAB race to the Azores.
Peter's love of sailing is matched with his love of flying in particular gliding. These interests are shown in his paintings depicting ever changing seas and skies
