Paul Jackson
He uses a wide range of forms and decorative ideas in his work., which has developed along two distinctive paths; traditional domestic ware (from 1979), using naturalistic designs and altered forms (from 1985), using abstracted pattern decoration. Both the nude and the autobiographical themes feature strongly throughout his work. The pots are hand thrown in terra cotta, slipped in white clay and sprayed with underglaze colours and oxides. They are bisque fired and refired using a transparent glaze. Paul was elected Fellow of the Craft Potters Association in 1988. He has exhibited his work throughout the UK, Geneva and New York. |
