Lisa was born in Soborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1975 she gained a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Camberwell School of Art. Then from 1978-81 she was a Full-time Illustrator with B L Kearley Ltd. Two years later she was Assistant Art Therapist at Unstead Park Nursing Home, Godalming, Surrey and
Freelance Painter and Illustrator of books and cards, in particular for Kingsmead Publications, Rosenstiels and Medici Society
In 1996 she was Elected a Member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours
She likes to illustrate people and animals involved in everyday life and domestic activities, in a cheerful and colourful way. Holidays in France and on her narrowboat often provide inspiration.
She has won sevral Awards, Prizes which include:
Runner up, ‘Landscape Category in Artist of the Year’, ‘Artists & Illustrators’, 2008
‘Kingsmead Award’, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, 1997
Winner of ‘Imperial Cancer Research Christmas Card Competition’, 1995
Commendation, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, 1992
First Prize, ‘Royal Academy Christmas Card Competition’, 1984, 1985 and 1986
Articles have appeared in ‘International Artist’
