Julia is an Elected Member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
She has been exhibiting her work since 1982 in the UK and Germany.
Her work is based on drawing, following very much in the British Neo-Romantic tradition, and she delights in creating a visionary world of unusual shapes and forms developed from direct observation of objects in the natural world.
She won Second Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in 1980 and her work has appeared in the July Issue. “A Second Look at Natural Forms” The Artist Magazine in 2007 and in 2006 “Wood Wonders” Tree News, Issue 11.
