| | | | | Jenny studied fine art at Gloucestershire College of Art gaining a BA (Hons). During that time her work was selected for the John Player (now B.P.) Portrait Award at the National Gallery in London. Her work is exhibited regularly both in Britain and abroad. She now mainly paints landscapes, where an important concern is the relative placing of various elements of her pictures for maximum dramatic effect. Relationships between land and sky are a great interest to her, where hugeness of the sky can dominate the spaces and objects beneath, creating drama with shadow, light and space. While many of Jenny's paintings are completed outside she also works in her studio combining photography, drawings and imagination to develop and control the particular character and moods. |
