Anthony Garratt

| | | | | Anthony was born the Kent countryside. He studied art foundation at Chelsea College of Art, London and then Graphic Design at Falmouth College of Arts, Cornwall where he continued to enjoy painting and exhibiting work. After winning a Proctor and Stevenson Design award in his last year at Falmouth, he then worked in London as a Graphic Designer and concept sketcher. During this time, he exhibited his paintings which began to sell in Kent and London. After 2 years of working in London, he travelled in Southern Africa and visited his Grandmothers painting and etching studio.
Upon returning from Africa, Anthony moved back West to Bristol, where he continued to design material for predominantly West Country companies, events and festivals. At the beginning of 2008, Anthony decided to focus on painting as a career and subsequently joined Jamaica Street Studios. Since then, he has exhibited successfully in London, Bristol, Cornwall and Scotland.
Anthony is a keen sailor and when not on the water, he enjoys visiting the Cornish and Welsh countryside and coast where he is inspired by massive skies and the transiency of colour and weather.
