| | | Andrea trained at Penzance School of Art, under the tuition of Bouverie Hoyton and William Tudor. In 2002 she was selected for membership of the St. Ives Society of Artists, which is one of the most prestigious societies in the Westcountry.
Her distinctive style has developed over the years and today is unmistakable. Her bold brush strokes and use of colour create strong images of sea, sky and landscape. She is a keen sailor and much of her work is inspired by her regular trips to the Isles of Scilly, white sandy beaches, rocky coves, isolated cottages and radiant summer skies. She captures the feeling of Cornwall in her work spending many days sketching and photographing the moors and coastline, later working on the paintings in her studio.
Andrea paints exclusively in oils. Her work can be found in private collections in Europe and the USA; she was also commissioned by the Dorrien-Smith family on Tresco, Isles of Scilly both for their private collection and for the Island Hotel, Tresco.
