After finishing art school she became a freelance wildlife illustrator. However working and living in London, she began to miss Cornwall and so in the early 90's moved back and became a sailing instructor in the summer months and travelled around in winter. During this time she continued to paint, changing the medium from watercolour to oils, her style became much freer and she began to concentrate on skies and landscapes, which constantly change - this gave her a great deal of inspiration and was far more challenging. Towards the end of the 90s, Amanda decided to paint full time and has exhibited her work regularly in Cornwall, Bristol and London. She is now also producing limited edition silkscreen and giclee prints. |
